News from the Cave

It has been a long time since I have written. Since I have last written I have had a new album come out. The new album has 15 all original songs and is titled "Wooden Robots". I did a Kickstarter project that helped finance that project.

I have also released a few new songs to You Tube. Some of the songs are from my first CD "Boxes" and some are from my new CD. I also have a few songs on there that had not been released before.

I started a new project called, "Tunes From The Cave". This is a live version of my songs. It is a mix of songs from my CD's and new songs not released. I plan to have some guest musicians over to play some of their original song also. Check it out on You Tube and let me know what you think.

I also have just joined "NoiseTrade". You can download my complete first album. You can tip me for what you would like. The music is a free download, but if you like it, I ask for a $7.00 tip/donation. Its your call. Listen to it and if you like come back and donate. Or better yet, if you like my music, keep the download and go to iTunes or Amazon and purchase my new album, "Wooden Robots". The link to my first CD and free download is below.

I hope to keep you a little more updated with whats going on and my new music. As part of the download, I ask for your email. This will allow me to keep in touch and let you know when I have new music available and where you can listen to it.

As always, let me know if you have a question.
I would love to hear from you.

Have a great day!

Kickstarter CD and New VIdeo

It's been a while since I posted. The music for my Kickstarter project is done and CDs are on their way back to me. I will be able to send out rewards to my backers soon. The CD for sale will be ready in June sometime (I hope).

There are a few of the songs on You Tube that will be on the CD. The most recent one is called "More Than Words Upon A Stone". I wrote the song after visiting the Veterans Memorial in Sioux Falls, SD. It's a great park and a great tribute to our Veterans. If you every get to Sioux Falls, I would recommend stopping to check it out. All the photos in the You Tube video were taken at the park. Check the video here:

Have a great evening

New Music

Thanks for stopping by.

I am working on new music today. I am recording misc tracks and reviewing what is already recorded to see if I am happy with what I have down or if I need to tweak. I went through most of the songs last night and made notes.

I am getting real close to the mixing process. I have played around with a few mixes but haven't started full on yet. I try to get all tracks recorded before I commit fully so I can concentrate on the mixing.

I believe I have a great set of songs for this new album and cant wait to share them with you. It's March already and spring is just around the corner. I am looking forward to the longer days, warmer weather and our first campfire of spring. Campfires for me are so relaxing. Just sitting there and watching the flames gives me time to think and sort things out.

If you haven't checked out my music, check the links below and give my songs a listen. Let me know what you think.
I am coming out with a new album, called "Wooden Robots", which you can read about on the website "Kickstarter" using the first link below. The other links will take you to information about me and you can listen to music from my first CD "Boxes".

New CD and Kickstarter

Hey everybody,

As you know, I am working on a new CD. It is going to be called "Wooden Robots" and I am doing a kickstarter project to help finance it. I launched the project last night and am looking forward to watching the results.

If you are not familiar with Kickstarter, it is basically a pre-sales for my new CD. But it is not only a pre-sales, you can get the CDs shipped to you free of charge and even purchase a t-shirt.

The "Special Upgrade Edition" will have more songs on it than the regular edition if we reach and exceed our goals.

Check out the link below for all the details.

Have a great evening and let me know if you have any questions.

South Dakota Magazine

Exciting news!

I am in the March/April issue of "South Dakota Magazine". I am in the "Writers & Artists" section page 72. About a month and a half ago, I was contacted by the Managing Editor of the magazine. He had discovered my CD "Boxes" on the internet and said he thought it was something they would like to put in the magazine. I sent him my number and he called me the next week for some information about it.

I am excited to be in the magazine. What a pleasant surprise to be contacted by them. I got it in the mail today and they did a great job on the article.

The picture in the magazine is "the guitar" that I learned to play my first song. And the same guitar that I have written every song on. I have to thank my uncle Tom Koch for teaching me those 3 chords and my uncle Jim Koch for starting me out drumming in the band "The Country Hillbillies". Of course I have to thank my parents for taking me to all those dances when I was not yet of age (I started playing at age 13).

Have a great evening and if you have any comments or questions, please let me know.
